School Hours

Doors open 8:30 a.m. Classes begin 9:00 a.m. Classes end 3:15 p.m. Children are dismissed 3:30 p.m.

School office hours are 8:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.

Wyomissing Area School District may determine a school delay is in order due to inclement weather. A one-hour or two-hour delay will be announced over the local radio, television station, and ParentSquare. If it is necessary to dismiss early from school because of weather or an emergency, a ParentSquare message will be sent to each participating home.

Over the past few months, the administration has been in discussion with the school board regarding the implementation of a three-hour delay, in the case of inclement weather. On May 9, 2016 the Wyomissing Area Board of Directors approved inclement weather schedules.

Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, the Wyomissing Area School District has implemented modified schedules for either a two-hour or three-hour delay schedule for inclement weather. Having both options will allow additional flexibility in preventing the loss of a school day. A three-hour delay schedule is an additional option; it does not replace a two-hour delay. While the two-hour delay will be the most likely used option, we reserve the right to implement a three-hour delay when conditions would warrant such a decision.

Our intent is to provide the schedule to you now well in advance of the inclement weather season to provide adequate time for planning. The attached schedules are also available on the district website. In addition, we will distribute the schedules again at the start of each school year. If you have any questions, please direct them to the District Office.
